Add Insult to Injury

So much for one post a day - but I had to share - I really find typing stuff out a nice stress reliever. I also have found that recording these things somewhere I can go back to has helped me when I have to take a medical history to the dr to discuss the boys. (my MWP friends know the drill)

Tommy was definitely off when he came home today. We thought he was just tired from hobbling around all day with a cast and having such a long day yesterday - he didn't eat dinner and went to bed early without a fuss - I should have known.

Tommy had been in bed for a couple hours when we hear the screaming - I say "the screaming" because this is a scream I know - this is a "my tummy hurts" scream, an "I'm gonna puke" scream.

Off we run - up the stairs, pull him from the crib, fortunately there was an empty bowl under the bed - can you tell we have been here often. His poor little body was shivering - I think it was from the pain - he didn't feel cold. I wrapped him in towels until it all passed. Poor kid - this had been a monthly thing for him - if not more frequent - we thought we had gotten past it, it has been a couple weeks, and before that we had a couple good months...ah well - so now I have a casted, puking 2 year old...life is good...lets hope it was something he ate and all has passed. Only time will tell....

  1. What a day you've had!
Nothing like getting woke up by a blood curdling scream in the middle of the night. Poor little guy...and poor Mommy!

  2. Poor little fella...he sure is having a rough time! You said he has had frequent problems with vomiting...what does his doctor say about that? Could he possibly have food allergies? Just a thought...I'll sure be praying for Thomas AND for the rest of your family!
