Odds and Ends

Time for the weekly favorite Not Me Monday (and then maybe a little family update)....

I did not get all choked up while watching a cheesey sitcom (Still Standing) on Lifetime Thursday morning. I did not hold back the tears while they got their daughter ready for her first dance - this junky TV did not make me wish I had a little girl. It does not make me want to keep trying, having kids until I have a girl. (don't tell my hubby!!)

I did not have my mom take Tommy to get a haircut on Saturday because I absolutely hate taking him and hearing him scream. Of course I took him myself, I would never ask anyone else to go through that. And if she did take him, he wasn't an absolute angel and didn't sit quietly while "John" cut his hair (he didn't come home and tell me all about it either!!)

I did not let my baby eat crushed up Fruit Loops - as cute as it is, it would be horribly irresponsible and unhealthy.

I did not let my baby watch Top Chef on Sunday - I did not take pictures of him standing in front of the TV.
..............................................

This is why you don't go shopping hungry....

we couldn't even wait long enough for me to get a picture

Mommy & Daddy put Jack in more funny hats

This is what Mommy saw when she went downstairs Saturday Morning

Tommy was dressed when she sent him down
We don't know why Tommy took off his clothes...
Daddy and Jack never woke up - didn't even hear him down there

Jack watched some TV Daddy says he has good taste (in women...ha ha...)
Mommy thinks he has good taste in shows

Tommy did construction

Apparently the living room was too dark

He needed his head light

Tommy helped Mommy clean the floor in the kitchen
It may look nice and rustic...but it is a pain to clean!!

That was our weekend for the most part. Tommy did spend the night Saturday with his Nana and got a haircut. I am hoping to get some pics of his new do tomorrow. I might also finally get pics of all the hard work my darling hubby did today - the entire cord of wood we bought two weeks ago is now cut to the right length and stacked neatly. He has spent the better part of the last two weekends doing all this work - I am so grateful that he was able to do it all without any help from me - its just too darn cold out for me to do work like that!!

  1. These pictures remind me so much of my own home. The sleeping boys on Saturday morning, the clothes-less boys...I too have two boys, and they make my life....interesting, to say the least!

  6. Aww! Love all the photos - especially the one with dad asleep with the little guy. Those are precious!

We have one of those awesome kiddie haircut places nearby - they get to pick out a cool toy to sit in (airplane, cop car, jeep, etc) and there's cartoons at every station.
I am totally not admitting the fact that I got my hair cut there last time I took Itty Bit! :)

  11. Oh trust me...I SOOOO understand the girl thing...I had 2 boys before I had my daughter and there was 7 years between the youngest boy and FINALLY the girl...so I totally understand crying over the sitcom. And the commercials....and the girl dept in stores...and the pink pink PINK! LOL

  12. Too funny! Isn't that always how things go with grandparents? You prepare them for how horrible they will be, and then they are perfect!

  13. "Top Chef" is great! Not bad for kids...now if you start letting them watch "Bad Girls Club" or something...I'd have to worry. :)
