Wordful Wednesday: He Eats!!

My baby boy is finally eating, and eating like a pro at that!!

If you are new to my blog you may not have seen this post, but we were getting quite concerned wtih Jack's inability to handle solid foods. Early December we spoke with the Dr about it, he was concerned but not ready to do anything yet...well a couple days after meeting with the Dr of course Jack decides Cheerios are great!! Now he will eat everything and anything we give him, we almost can't feed him enough - my little gagging non eater has become a piglet!! A great side effect of this, not only does he eat, now he also sleeps!! Woo Hoo!!! He has slept through the night for 5 nights now - our longest stretch ever!! WOO HOO!!! Mommy couldn't ask for a better Christmas present from her littlest guy!!

Go visit Angie at 7 Clown Circus to find more Wordful Wednesday posts!!

  1. I am glad the cheerios did the trick! They do things in their own time but I am glad that he is going to enjoy eating at Christmas. At least it's a milestone you will remember! My kids lived on cheerios. I hope your family has a Merry Christmas and I look forward to more of your posts in 2009!

  10. This is good news! I had the same problem. Mine wouldn't eat or talk. Now I can't get her to be quiet and she eats anything that's not nailed down! They work things out when they're ready I suppose.
    Merry Christmas!

  13. Woohoo! Congrats on that gift for sure! My boys are 5 and 7 and rarely sleep ALL night without waking up....grrr! I usually end up with at least one in my bed by morning since their daddy deployed and I'm too lazy to take them back to beds.

I'm glad he can eat and swallow and that it wasn't a medical concern! Woohoo!

  18. Hey Liz! Thanks for the comment on my page. I have to admit, I went through a crazy search last night through my old comments... because I'd sworn you'd commented before and I thought I was following your blog already! I think I've seen your comments on Kameron's site so much that I thought you and I were "friends" too! But I have another Liz on my blog and decided I was getting confused. Ugh! Anyway, I'm NOW following you and can't wait to catch up on your little boys! Merry Christmas!

  21. I must have totally missed that part of your post previously?? stupid me - I should have let you know - our baby girl was the same way - she REFUSES to eat any food - AT ALL - until 10 months old - I mean - if I would try to force her - she would vomit it - and I mean - PROJECT it! She hated anything except momma's milk. I switched to solids after giving up on baby food - Dr didn't seem concerned - but for her weight - did you see an early intervention specialist? What did they say? I started her out with cherrios as well and those Gerber little puffs - she loves those things! Try those if you have not. Anyway, Little man is likely perfect!!! Just picky!! Best wishes!!
