Musical Monday: King of the Swingers

The Best of Louis Prima

Have you ever watched Disney's "The Jungle Book"...did you love King Louie? I did....Did you know that is actually Louis Prima - an amazing musician with a phenomenal career and an incredibly talented wife (Keely Smith). This is the CD I put in on a sunny day, in my car, when I just want to bop around and smile. This is the CD of no plans, no place to be, just easy happiness.

From the Jungle Book: [oh if you are wondering Baloo is played/performed by Phil Harris, another favorite of mine, and voice from The Jack Benny radio show - maybe some day I will post a bit from him too]

Here he is with Keely Smith singing Black Magic - I love their voices together!!

  1. Temperance loves The Junlge Book right now. She always asks to watch "Bare Necessities". And I agree with you, his voice together with Keely's sounds perfect!
