Continuing the Tale of the Wonderful Weekend

So I last left you at Friday lunch time....I promise you we did more after the zoo. Of course we took a long, nap filled drive back to home turf - grabbing a coffee for Mommy and Daddy along the way - and out to Tarbox Pond for another shot at geocaching. Unfortunately high water, and massive ground nests of bees (or bee like bugs) hindered our success, but it really was a great hike out and the perfect way to cap off our day.

As we were heading home the sky was quickly becoming overcast and the parents were getting tired. A quick stop at Walgreens resulted in not just the milk and glue we required, but also the ice cream that Tommy begged for. (he had been so good...how could we deny him?!) We relaxed at home, just playing, napping, and watching some favorite movies....oh and coloring Easter Eggs!!

Next time Mommy must remember not to add salt to the water I boil the eggs in....oops...

But now I must go....our trip to CT for haircuts, our lovely dinner, and our fabulous Easter must wait just a bit longer....

So much to talk about....like I said who needs to go away to have a wonderful family weekend?!

The eggs turned out well - I am kind of disappointed that I didn't get any hard-boiled eggs this weekend! ha!

  4. You're awesome, Liz!

I love how you guys take the kids to do so much. Cade is still little, but we are able to do more and more. We can't wait to take him to the zoo this summer (we hope he can handle it and doesn't try climbing over any fences to get closer to the animals!). :-)

  8. Great pics. Oh...I didn't know that putting salt in the water was bad. I usually use a little sugar when boiling eggs...supposedly it helps them peel easier...??
