Every girl needs at least one wonderful dress in her closet (if not ten) a dress that fits day or evening, be it little black dress, or something bright and flirty. I have been lucky to have had the chance to review a store full of such dresses.
The Shabby Apple is an amazing company who offers affordable, hip attire perfect for work or a day to play. Their lines include clothing for women, babies, and mothers-to-be. Their site makes it easy to search for the product you are looking for - and as every woman shouldn't be without a little black dress the even a section just for that, with a slew of little black dresses to choose from. And for all of the Mommy-to-be's out there, the Shabby Apple even carries a gorgeous line of maternity dresses (The Mama Apple....how cute is that)
I was so fortunate to have received this dress from the Shabby Apple to try out.
This is the Jackie-O Trench coat dress. This is a classic black dress with a large collar. The dress has three large plastic buttons that open down to the waist. The dress also has cap sleeves, wide lapels and a tie at the waist. The bodice of the dress has a side zipper and the skirt is full. Buttons adorn the top of the shoulders.
I fell in love with this dress the moment I touched the material, a perfect blend of cotton and spandex it fit like it was made for me. Everything about this dress was thought about, every detail, every button, adds to the simple beauty of it. I am dying to find some excuse to wear it out (Felicia this might mean our next girls night out is all dressed up!!). I wish I had a picture of me in it to share, but at the moment they are stranded in my camera - complete with dead battery.
Now I just have to convince my husband that I need a couple more dresses and I will be happy!! Actually I have to convince him that we need a little girl so I can get her this:

Oh and don't feel guilty for buying yourself a lovely dress from the Shabby Apple - 5% of every purchase from the Shabby Apple goes to Unitus which provides loans to families in developing countries in an effort to combat poverty. Each dress has a tag on it telling the story of one such family that has been helped by the micro-loans that Unitus provides.
