WW: Up a Tree

I wrote this big story about how I used to use Photoshop, then I didn't, then I finally got it again. I reread the story...it was boring....and mostly pointless.....so instead I give you this...

Here is my I Heart Faces shot from this week (Nostalgia theme...here is my post about it)

I received several questions on how I got the shot....

Here is what it looked like straight out of the camera (SOOC)

this is actually a very short peach tree if you look at the SOOC shot you can see the ground at the base of the tree
the fork in the tree is actually about 4 feet up. I stood on the ground on the opposite side of the tree from Tommy and leaned over it.
The fact that it was dark hid the ground below him (mostly), and by standing at such an angle over Tommy I was able to really create the effect that we were both perched precariously.

And just so Jack doesn't feel left out here is another shot from the same day first as posted then SOOC...enjoy!!

  8. I know exactly what you mean! My favorite part is editing and turning a simple looking picture into something so much more eye popping! I love your creative side. :)
