What I Did On My Summer Vacation TT

This week is the big kickoff, the Moxie Media Around the Blogosphere in 5 Days! Mama's Losin' It, Better in Bulk, Mayhem & Moxie, and Seven Clown Circus are all hosting different carnivals Tuesday-Friday this week.

Today  Mayhem & Moxie are hosting Tribute Tuesday - with a theme...

"pay tribute to one of the season’s most beloved past-times, the summer vacation"

The topics laid out for us all suggested some great summer travel - being the rebel that I am I will ignore the suggestions and pay tribute to the two little guys who made my summer really a summer vacation.

For 4 months I was unemployed (a HUGE reason we didn't go ANYwhere), for 4 months I was loved on and entertained by my favorite two people....

They are no strangers to this blog of course - in fact they are its name sake - while I may be the Loving Mom they are the 2 Boys - the 2 Boys that make me a loving mom, a grateful mom, a blessed mom.

For 4 months we ignored the lack of money and played - we played in the rain, we played in the sun.  We went to the beach, the playground, the park, the museum.  We picked blueberries and peaches, and most recently flowers.  We had a visitor or two (even a lovely super hero stopped by....but you'll have to wait until Friday to hear more about her), and learned how to swim in Nana's pool.

Thank you boys for helping me see the beauty in what could have been a horrible situation.  Thank you boys for blessing me daily.

This is my tribute - to my summer (stay)cation, and to my sweet little men who made it the best summer I have ever had!!

  5. You never know how much fun you can have with no money until you try! We discovered so many cheap to free things this summer too. I never realized our state was so cool!
