Batteries Recharged

The past few months have been hard.

Now don't get me wrong I am thrilled to be pregnant!!  I know that every ache, every pain, every nap is a sign that my baby is doing exactly what it is supposed to be doing....kicking my butt.

But still it has been a hard couple of months.

I have been tired, exhausted, by 3 pm every day its all I can do to keep my head up!!!

I have been sad, and slow, and unmotivated.  The hormones have made me moody, and I think maybe even a little blue.  If I didn't know I was pregnant I would have worried that something was wrong with me.

I have tried my best to embrace the crappiness.  Be happy that I am blessed with another new life growing in me.

And then came Sunday night.

It was like someone replaced my batteries.

Everything seemed clearer, and I had energy.

I cleaned the upstairs bathroom, did ALL the dishes (considering that we had 4 adults and 2 kids here all day Sunday, that equalled about 3 loads in the dishwasher).

All of our laundry is washed (anyone want to fold it for me?)

And now I am once again reorganizing and cleaning my sewing room so that I can start my next projects (a gift for a friend, and a carrier for me - and Jack - for our outing this friday)

I am a new person - and no longer feel the need to nap endlessly.

I am thrilled, when better to enjoy the 2nd trimester energy and glow-i-ness than the height of summer when there is so many fun things to do with my sweet little children?!

{and who knows maybe this means I will find a return to blogging and commenting and following up on all the things that I have let fall through a bit these last few months}

I don't know exactly what happened - its like a switch was flipped and I am back.

Time to embrace this next stage of my pregnancy (the ever expanding - holy crap you are getting so big stage) and maybe even go buy a maternity bathing suit (ACK!)

  3. So glad that you have your energy back. I never lost mine but had insomnia for my whole pregnancies...all three of them.

  6. Awww hugs! I'm glad you're feeling better! 1st trimester royally kicked my ass too! Now I'm back to running 5K 3x/week and also doing my bootcamp fitness class - I feel like a new woman. Pregnancy is really really hard - especially with 3 boys demanding your love & attention. Take care Momma!

PS - thanks for the awesome car seat suggestion on my post yesterday!
