BlogHer 12: Not as Scary as I Thought

BlogHer 12 - it was amazing...

I will admit at first I was terrified,
 lots of strange people
4 days in which I had to interact with them

Activities, parties, meals, speakers
all hours of the day.

A city that truly never sleeps to explore
Time square to see
Batman to encounter
And a romantic carriage ride to enjoy.

But there really was nothing to worry about
I had 3 AMAZING roommates
(Kameron, Michelle, and Brooke are the best)

And an entourage...

ok well I didn't have an entourage
but I was a part of the collective that is
Rhody Bloggers
(we are awesome you know
we're not a small state
we're concentrated awesome)

We met Martha
(yes every negative thing you think about her is true)
And the Jimmy Dean guy
(he really has a sunny disposition....ha ha ha)

I danced with bedazzled produce
At Sparklecorn of course

And ate a bit of unicorn bum
so pretty, and so yummy.

There was sushi enjoyed
Ethiopian food explored
And hula hooping attempted.

When all was said and done it was a wonderful trip
I had the chance to connect with so many great women
and talented bloggers

I am thrilled that so many of the amazing ladies I spent time with
are local to me, and I can see them again.

And those that aren't,
I definitely plan to see again
if not sooner,
then in Chicago next year.

If you are intrigued
by my mention of these amazing RI women
be sure to check them all out
I promise you won't be disappointed!!

  3. Every time someone asks me if I had a nice weekend, I just smile and say "It was great!" That sums it up perfectly. Words cannot express how happy I was to FINALLY meet you in person. And the fun thing? It felt like we really had known each other for several years. We just picked up and carried on like good friends. Miss you guys already! P.S. Great summary of our fun weekend :)

  6. I love that you are so close with so many bloggers from your home state. That's how I used to be in Dallas. Some of us got together back in 2007 for my first blogger get-together and it was so awesome and then we had a big dinner before I moved. I miss those girls...

Anyway, glad you had a fabulous time and REALLY hope we get to see each other again next year!! xo

  7. Love your recap! I had such an awesome time at BlogHer. Also, as I was reading, I realized you asked me somewhere if I have the picture of you and I with the Jimmy Dean Sun. I can't find where you wrote it (on FB? Twitter? My blog?) I'm so overwhelmed with social media right now, lol. But I do have it, I will put it on FB and tag you. SOrry I didn't get it to you in time for your blog post :(

  14. Glad to read another positive post about BlogHer. I was super nervous and anxious about going as a newbie as well, but also found it was needless! Looks like you took advantage of everything and had a blast.

  15. I'm glad to hear you had a great time! That's how I felt at my first BlogHer conference too. Scared as hell but walked away with great new friends!!

Now you must spill...why was Martha so bad? I found her so charming during the luncheon but skipped the madhouse to meet her.
